چکیده

We consider the problem of propagation high-intensity acoustic waves in a bubble layer consisting spherical bubbles identical size with uniform distribution. The mathematical model is coupled system partial differential equations for pressure and instantaneous radius wave equation Rayleigh–Plesset equation. perform an analytic analysis based on study Lie symmetries this equations, concentrating our attention traveling case. then mappings resulting reductions onto defining elliptic functions, special cases thereof, example, solvable terms hyperbolic functions. In way, we construct exact solutions under consideration. believe to be first particular model.

Improvement of acoustic theory of ultrasonic waves in dilute bubbly liquids.

The theory of the acoustics of dilute bubbly liquids is reviewed, and the dispersion relation is modified by including the effect of liquid compressibility on the natural frequency of the bubbles. The modified theory is shown to more accurately predict the trend in measured attenuation of ultrasonic waves. The model limitations associated with such high-frequency waves are discussed.

Statistical mechanics of bubbly liquids

The dynamics of bubbles at high Reynolds numbers is studied from the viewpoint of statistical mechanics. Individual bubbles are treated as dipoles in potential flow. A virtual mass matrix of the system of bubbles is introduced, which depends on the instantaneous positions of the bubbles, and is used to calculate the energy of the bubbly flow as a quadratic form of the bubbles’ velocities. The e...

Shock Propagation in Polydisperse Bubbly Liquids

We investigate the shock dynamics of liquid flows containing small gas bubbles, based on a continuum bubbly flow model. Particular attention is devoted to the effects on shock dynamics of distributed bubble sizes and gas-phase nonlinearity. Ensemble-averaged conservation laws for polydisperse bubbly flows, together with a Rayleigh–Plesset-type model for single bubble dynamics, form the starting...

Acoustic Waves in Bubbly Soft Media

There exists a special class of solid media called soft media (or weakly compressible media), for which the inequality ┣>>┤ is satisfied (┣ and ┤ are the Lamé coefficients) [1-6]. Such media with very small shear stiffness are dynamically similar to liquids to a great extent and exhibit strongly a “water-like” characteristic and, therefore, are also associated with the name of “water-like” medi...
