Ultrafine CoPt<sub>3</sub> nanoparticles encapsulated in nitrogen‐doped carbon nanospheres for efficient water electrolysis

Abstract Rational design of nanostructures with excellent activity and stability for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) oxygen (OER) to realize efficient production is essential renewable energy development conversion. Here, we have designed a special pyrolysis reduction method the synthesis CoPt 3 nanoparticles (NPs) embedded in N‐doped carbon nanospheres (CoPt @NC). In this process, facile impregnation combined strategy carried out produce well‐dispersed within carbon, resulting @NC trace Pt content exhibit superior HER OER pure Pt@NC, which needs an ultralow overpotential 65 mV 360 drive 10 mA/cm 2 1.0 M KOH, respectively, also long‐term durability. The activities are mainly ascribed high surface area, N‐doping, synergistic effect between catalyst carrier. This work provides feasible carbon‐based heterostructures catalytic stable properties.
