Ultrafiltration as tertiary treatment for municipal wastewater reuse

چکیده
Water reuse is an enduring topic that benefits the society and future generations of mankind. Ultrafiltration (UF) one most cost-effective treatment technologies for improving water quality. In this study, a semi-industrial UF pilot plant with periodical classic backwash (CB) air (AB) was operated automatically to evaluate its feasibility sustainability municipal wastewater find out optimized filtration condition. This study carried 15 conditions investigate impacts flux (J in L·h−1·m−2), cycle time (t min), frequency (BW) on membrane hydraulic performance fouling management. Through comparative analysis all quality, permeability variation, irreversible management, recovery rates, sustainable J80t40BW1/3 (flux 80 L·h−1·m−2, 40 min, 1 AB followed 3 CBs), J60t60BW1/4 60 4 J60t60BW1/3 stood from others higher overall performances. Additionally, showed excellent reversibility control, which around 1.25–2 times CB average. After all, long term operation condition winter summer confirmed system could provide adaptable regardless temperature feed The permeate quality good enough be reused non-potable applications as it met guidelines World Health Organization, standards France recent EU regulation agricultural irrigation. work confirms great interest tertiary gives operational indications industrial-scale production reclaimed water.

Ultrafiltration (UF) Pilot Plant for Municipal Wastewater Reuse in Agriculture: Impact of the Operation Mode on Process Performance
Following increasing interest in the use of UltraFiltration (UF) membrane processes as an alternative advanced disinfection technique, the performance of a UF pilot plant was investigated under two opposite operating conditions (“stressed operating condition” versus “conventional operating condition”). The results indicate that for both conditions, the reclaimed effluent complied with the Itali...
متن کاملTreatment of Rubber Glove Wastewater by Ultrafiltration
The feasibility of using flat-sheet ultrafiltration polyethersulfone (PES) membranes for treatment of effluent from a rubber glove factory has been investigated. Membranes of molecular weight cut-off (MWCO) 100 kDa and 10 kDa were operated in cross-flow filtration to evaluate the efficiency of rejections of certain selected parameters in the wastewater. The membrane operation was carried out at...
