چکیده

We investigate the ultrafast lattice dynamics in 1T-TiSe2 using femtosecond reflection pump–probe and pump–pump–probe techniques at room temperature. The time-domain signals Fourier-transformed spectra show A1g phonon mode 5.9 THz. Moreover, we observe an additional ≈ 3 THz, corresponding to charge-density wave (CDW) amplitude (AM), which is generally visible below Tc≈200 K. argue that emergence of CDW temperature can be a consequence fluctuations order parameters based on experiment technique, exhibited suppression AM signal within timescale ∼0.5 ps.

Quantum melting of the charge-density-wave state in 1T-TiSe2.

We report a Raman scattering study of low-temperature, pressure-induced melting of the charge-density-wave (CDW) phase of 1T-TiSe2. Our measurements reveal that the collapse of the CDW state occurs in three stages: (i) For P<5 kbar, the pressure dependence of the CDW amplitude mode energies and intensities are indicative of a "crystalline" CDW regime; (ii) for 5<P<25 kbar, there is a decrease i...

Nonthermal melting of a charge density wave in TiSe2.

We use time-resolved optical reflectivity and x-ray diffraction with femtosecond resolution to study the dynamics of the structural order parameter of the charge density wave phase in TiSe2. We find that the energy density required to melt the charge density wave nonthermally is substantially lower than that required for thermal suppression and is comparable to the charge density wave condensat...

Ultrafast melting of a charge-density wave in the Mott insulator 1T-TaS2.

Femtosecond time-resolved core-level photoemission spectroscopy with a free-electron laser is used to measure the atomic-site specific charge-order dynamics of the charge-density wave in the Mott insulator 1T-TaS2. After strong photoexcitation, a prompt loss of charge order and subsequent fast equilibration dynamics of the electron-lattice system are observed. On the time scale of electron-phon...

Role of Incommensuration in the charge density wave and superconducting states of 1T-TiSe2

A brief review of some of the most recent experiments on the charge density wave (CDW) transition in 1T-TiSe2 is presented. With increasing pressure or intercalation, the CDW can be suppressed and a superconducting (SC) phase emerges. In the pristine 1T-TiSe2, a commensurate CDW develops around 202 K. These experiments show that by tuning these external parameters like pressure, or doping, the ...
