چکیده
This paper proposes an ultra-reliable device-centric uplink (URDC-UL) communication scheme for airborne networks. In particular, base stations (BSs) are mounted on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that travel to schedule UL transmissions and collect data from devices. To attain unified performance, the connection is established when UAV-BS hovering at nearest possible distance scheduled device. The performance of proposed URDC-UL benchmarked against a stationary UAV-centric (SUC-UL) where devices communicate UAV-BSs continuously static locations. Utilizing stochastic geometry queueing theory, novel spatiotemporal mathematical models developed, which account spatial densities, mobility, altitude, antenna directivity, ground-to-air channel, temporal traffic, among other factors. results demonstrate sensitivity ratio between traveling time. time should be carefully adjusted maximize harvested gains in terms link reliability, transmission rate, energy efficiency, delay. Exploiting allows IoT minimize power while maintaining reliable transmission. preserves device's battery addresses critical design challenge.

Analysis of Device-to-Device Communications in Uplink Cellular Networks with Lognormal Fading
In this paper, using the stochastic geometry theory, we present a framework for analyzing the performance of device-to-device (D2D) communications underlaid uplink (UL) cellular networks. In our analysis, we consider a D2D mode selection criterion based on an energy threshold for each user equipment (UE). Specifically, a UE will operate in a cellular mode, if its received signal strength from t...

Supporting ultra-reliable and low-latency communications (URLLC) is one of the major goals for the fifth-generation cellular networks. Since spectrum usage efficiency is always a concern, and large bandwidth is required for ensuring stringent quality-of-service (QoS), we minimize the total bandwidth under the QoS constraints of URLLC. We first propose a packet delivery mechanism for URLLC. To r...

Device-to-device (D2D) communications underlaying cellular networks are considered to be promising communication modes to improve network radio resource efficiency and provide higher transmission data rates to devices close to each other. However, when D2D communications reuse cellular resources, the resulting interference will cause significant performance loss to cellular users. In this paper...
متن کاملLoad Balancing for 5G Ultra-Dense Networks using Device-to-Device Communications
Load balancing is an effective approach to address the spatial-temporal fluctuation problem of mobile data traffic for cellular networks. The existing schemes that focus on channel borrowing from neighboring cells cannot be directly applied to future 5G wireless networks, because the neighboring cells will reuse the same spectrum band in 5G systems. In this paper, we consider an orthogonal freq...

Minimizing the outage probability and maximizing throughput are two important aspects in device to device (D2D) communications, which are greatly related to each other. In this paper, first, the exact formulas of the outage probability for D2D communications underlaying or overlaying cellular network are derived which jointly experience Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) and Rayleigh multipat...
