Abstract The article deals with the problem of Ukrainian nationalism and its significance in Polish-Ukrainian relations. It considers role Nationalist Organization (OUN) established 1929, militia, Insurgent Army (UPA), genocide committed by these organizations population supporting them during World War II on Poles living south-eastern voivodeships Second Polish Republic. At same time, it presents scientific achievements recently deceased political scientist historian, Associate Professor Viktor Polishchuk, who, over 2,579 pages his works, documented ideology, organizational structures genocidal activity those which, according to calculations side, murdered about 200,000 using most atrocious methods. also lists very critical opinions bishop Khomyshyn contemporary nationalism, as well detailed documentation crime carried out OUN UPA compiled within five volumes listed bibliography.
