Uji Aktivitas Antijamur Pada α-guaiene Minyak Nilam Terhadap Jamur Microsporum gypseum ATCC 14683 dan Tricophyton mentagrophytes ATCC 16404

Minyak nilam mengandung sejumlah besar senyawa golongan seskuiterpen. Senyawa α-guaiene merupakan seskuiterpen mayor yang diduga memiliki kemampuan sebagai antimikroba. Kemampuan antijamur belum banyak dibuktikan, khususnya pada spesies jamur Microsporum gypseum ATCC 14683 dan Tricophyton mentagrophytes 16404. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adanya aktivitas antijmur minyak berbagai konsentrasi terhadap pertumbuhan M. T. dari zona hambat terbentuk. Penelitian eksperimental dengan metode difusi sumuran diameter daya (DDH). Bahan digunakan fraksi I fraksinasi 38.8% α-guaiene. Kontrol positif ketokonazol 2% flukonazol 2%, sedangkan kontrol negatif n-heksana. Perlakuan faktor 20, 40, 60, 80, 100%. Hasil diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa mampu menghambat mentagrophytes. Diameter bening mulai terbentuk 40% meningkat 60% lalu menunjukan tren menurun hingga terbesar sebesar 12.14 mm 60%, DDH 100% yaitu 3.163 mm. Ketokonazol menghasilkan penghambatan rata-rata 14.1 14 gypseum, 28.67 35 gypseum. N-heksana pelarut sekaligus tidak penghambatan.
