Turbulence Models Studying the Airflow around a Greenhouse Based in a Wind Tunnel and Under Different Conditions

Turbulence phenomena created around a greenhouse due to different wind loads are key factors in its structural design and significantly affect the ventilation rates through side roof openings. Using turbulence models of ANSYS FLUENT software investigate airflow an arched-roof-greenhouse-shaped obstacle placed inside tunnel was aim this study. Velocity pressure areas were examined by selecting three (Standard, RNG Realizable k–ε models) under entry velocities (0.34, 1.00 10.00 m s−1) tunnel. All showed that when air velocity intensified, identified as turbulent. The horizontal profile predicted more accurately presence vortices contrast with vector sum perpendicular components. Vortices formed upstream, above downstream obstacle, applied increases, size upstream vortex decreases. Finally, there strong indication from modeling results on extension downstream.
