Tunable Néel–Bloch Magnetic Twists in Fe <sub>3</sub> GeTe <sub>2</sub> with van der Waals Structure

The advent of ferromagnetism in two-dimensional (2D) van der Waals (vdW) magnets has stimulated high interest exploring topological magnetic textures, such as skyrmions for use future skyrmion-based spintronic devices. To engineer vdW by transforming Bloch-type bubbles into N\'eel-type skyrmions, the heterostructure heavy metal/vdW thin film been made to induce interfacial Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction (DMI). However, unambiguous identification textures inherent magnets, e.g., whether twists (skyrmions/domain walls) are N\'eel- or Bloch-type, is unclear. Here we demonstrate that can be tuned magnet Fe3GeTe2 (FGT) with/without DMI. We an in-plane field align modulation wavevector q magnetizations order distinguish twists. observe perpendicular (Pt/oxidized-FGT/FGT/oxidized-FGT), while aligns at a rotated angle with respect direction plate thinning bulk FGT. find aligned domain wall hold fan-like modulations, coinciding qualitatively our computational results.
