Histiocytic lymphoma fifteen years following remission of acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
A 19-yr-old female presented with diffuse histiocytic lymphoma after a 15-yr remission of acute lymphoblastic leukemia. All treatment had been discontinued 7 yr before the onset of the lymphoma. The possible relationships of these two neoplasms are discussed.

True histiocytic lymphomas (THLs) are rare tumors in which the malignant cells show morphologic and immunophenotypic evidence of histiocytic differentiation. We describe THLs that arose after therapy for one case of T-lineage lymphoblastic lymphoma (LyL) and two cases of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) (both CD10+, one pre-B phenotype). The lymphoblastic neoplasms were not unusual in any way...

OBJECTIVES This session of the 2013 Society of Hematopathology/European Association for Haematopathology Workshop was dedicated to B-acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL)/lymphoblastic lymphoma (LBL) with recurrent translocations and not otherwise specified. METHODS In this review, we summarize the cases discussed during the workshop, review the pertinent and most recent literature on the resp...

Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) is a very rare complication of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). We present the pathologic, clinical, immunologic, and ultrastructural features of the third reported example of NHL following successfully treated ALL. This white girl developed ALL with predominantly L1 cells at 3.5 yr of age. The lymphoblasts were terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase (TdT) positiv...
متن کاملT-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and Lymphoblastic Lymphoma
T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) and T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (T-LL) are neoplasias of immature T-cell precursors considered as a unique biological entity in the 2008 World Health Organization Classification of Hematologic Neoplasias1. Both entities are arbitrarily separated by a cut-off point of 20%-25% of blast cells in the bone marrow. There is a general agreement that T-ALL ...
