Trissolcus teretis (Johnson, 1987) (Hymenoptera: Scelionidae) parasitism on Euschistus heros (Fabricius, 1798) and Diceraeus melacanthus Dallas, 1851 (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae) eggs at different temperatures

چکیده

Trissolcus teretis has been recorded to parasitize eggs not only of Euschistus heros and Diceraeus melacanthus but also other stink bug species in the most important soybean producing countries South America such as Brazil, Argentina well Neotropical region. Despite several studies relating its natural incidence parasitism, impact different temperatures on biology parasitism capacity T. E. D. is practically unknown. Considering that biological traits can be highly influenced by temperature, research at hosts theoretical practical interest. We therefore evaluated development 15ºC, 20ºC, 25ºC, 30ºC. Temperature had an parasitoid reared both studied hosts. Although we extreme temperature these conditions are unfavorable for impairing traits, especially survival larvae adult parasitism. Therefore, application crop fields where 15ºC or lower common, additional necessary investigate possible need increase numbers during releases choose smaller intervals between multiple releases.

Photophase influence on the reproductive diapause, seasonal morphs, and feeding activity of Euschistus heros (Fabr., 1798) (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae).

Laboratory studies were conducted to verify the influence of photophase on diapause incidence in the Neotropical brown stink bug, Euschistus heros (Fabr., 1798), fed with soybean [Glycine max (L.)] Merrill pods. Nymphs were maintained at three different photophases: 10 h, 12 h, and 14 h, with constant temperature of 25 +/- 1 degree C and relative humidity of 65 +/- 5%. With 14 h, approximately ...

Development of a dry artificial diet for Nezara viridula (L.) and Euschistus heros (Fabricius) (Heteroptera: Pentatomidae).

Artificial diets prepared with wheat germ, soybean protein, dextrosol, potato starch, sucrose, cellulose, soybean or sunflower oil, and vitamin solution for rearing Nezara viridula (L.) and Euschistus heros (Fabricius) were tested under controlled temperature (25 +/- 1 degrees C), RH (60 +/- 10%), and photophase (14h). Three diets were tested and compared with the natural diet privet [soybean a...

Lyophilized artificial diet for rearing the Neotropical Euschistus heros (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae)

An artificial diet to mass-rear Euschistus heros (F. 1798) (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae) was developed in the laboratory. Biological studies were conducted under controlled conditions of temperature (25 ± 2 °C), RH: 60 ± 10%, and photoperiod of 14:10 (L:D) h. Out of 13 diets tested, 2 diets (D9 and D11) were the most suitable. The artificial diets selected had the same composition (green beans, pea...

Diversity of stink bug (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae) egg parasitoids in woodland and crop habitats in southwest Georgia, USA

Euschistus servus (Say), Chinavia hilaris (Say), and Nezara viridula (L.) (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae) are economic pests of row crops. They move within and between closely associated crop and non-crop habitats throughout the growing season in response to deteriorating suitability of their current host plants. This study was conducted to investigate parasitism of naturally occurring C. hilaris and...

Identification and functional characterization of esterases in Euschistus heros (Hemiptera, Pentatomidae) and their relationship with thiamethoxam and lambda-cyhalothrin.

The brown stink bug Euschistus heros is the most abundant species of the soybean-sucking bugs, and causes large economic losses. Applying different chemical groups of organosynthetic insecticides for its control increases the potential for resistance. Esterases are a group of enzymes that play a variety of roles in insects, and some of them are related to the metabolism of xenobiotics. The aim ...
