چکیده
Abstract Introduction Transcatheter tricuspid annuloplasty is a promising therapeutic alternative for the treatment of regurgitation (TR) in patients with high surgical risk. To date, published experience percutaneous devices quite limited. The objective this study to present impact transcatheter band implantation on degree TR and several echocardiographic parameters series 27 patients. Methods A single-center cohort was followed up prospectively after (mean follow-up: 10,39 months) (Figure 1). (mild, moderate, severe, massive, torrential) measured before procedure, as well at 6 months one year follow-up. Other have also been considered, such septal-lateral end-diastolic diameter annulus, vena contracta (VC), regurgitant orifice area (ROA) 2D, annular plane systolic excursion (TAPSE), right ventricular ejection fraction (RVEF) fractional change (FAC). Results Initially, there were 22.3% torrential TR, 29.6% massive 48% severe. After these percentages reduced 3.8%, 7.7% 23.1% respectively, leading an amount 65% mild or moderate TR. With respect lateral septum ring, mean initially 44.74 mm. it decreased 34.5 mm (22% reduction) and, can be seen during follow-up, remains stable over time. ROA VC significantly while TAPSE, CAF RVEF do not show significant changes 2). Percutaneous demonstrated notable reduction our study. differences are already noticeable from moment procedure maintained throughout where stability septolateral ERO observed. Tricuspid valve tethering predicts residual tricuspid regurgitation after tricuspid annuloplasty.
BACKGROUND Tricuspid valve (TV) annuloplasty is recommended for functional tricuspid regurgitation (TR), which is caused by TV annulus dilatation and tethering of the leaflets. However, the impact of TV deformations on the outcome of TV annuloplasty remains unknown. The goal of this study was to investigate the relationship between preoperative TV deformation and residual TR after TV annuloplas...
متن کاملeComment. Adjustable tricuspid annuloplasty for functional tricuspid regurgitation.
Functional tricuspid regurgitation (FTR) is a neglected and underestimated pathology. It occurs mostly from annular dilatation and right ventricular enlargement, which is frequent secondary to left-sided heart failure from myocardial or valvular causes, right ventricular volume and pressure overload, and dilatation of the cardiac chambers. Moderate-to-severe FTR should be corrected to improve s...
متن کاملTricuspid annuloplasty using the MC3 ring for functional tricuspid regurgitation.
BACKGROUND A recently introduced tricuspid annuloplasty ring, the MC(3) ring, has a 3-dimensional form that is designed to remodel the tricuspid valve annulus. The aim of this study was to investigate its clinical performance. METHODS AND RESULTS From December 2004 to April 2008, 103 patients underwent tricuspid annuloplasty using the MC(3) ring (mean age, 52+/-13 years; 63.6% women). The ave...

BACKGROUND Moderate secondary tricuspid incompetence has variable natural history if left unattended during mitral valve surgery. Recent data suggest progression of the secondary tricuspid incompetence over time.Secondary moderate tricuspid regurgitation in rheumatic mitral valve disease may regress after mitral valve surgery without direct intervention. OBJECTIVES The present study was done ...
متن کاملDeterminants of recurrent or residual functional tricuspid regurgitation after tricuspid annuloplasty.
BACKGROUND The durability of tricuspid valve (TV) repair by annuloplasty is limited. Identification of mechanisms of recurrent or residual tricuspid regurgitation (TR) after annuloplasty is necessary to improve results of TV repair. The purpose of this study was to investigate echocardiographic determinants of mid-term outcome after TV annuloplasty. METHODS AND RESULTS This study consisted of...
