Treatment of irreparable rotator cuff tear with dual graft reconstruction: a case report and technique description

چکیده
Treatment options for massive irreparable rotator cuff tears (RCT) in younger active adult patients are those intended to induce a biologic response and provide mechanical effect. Cellular augmentation such as platelet-rich matrices stem cells may platform healing. The effect of superior capsule reconstruction, tendon transfers, bridging grafts mitigate migration the humerus stable fulcrum arm elevation. A novel treatment option an RCT young patient is combined reconstruction capsule. This construct utilizes dual that share common attachment laterally on tuberosity but separate attachments medially.

Treatment of Massive Irreparable Rotator Cuff Tear with Arthroscopic Subacromial Bursectomy, Biceps Tenotomy, and Tuberoplasty
Background: The alternative surgery for massive and irreparable shoulder rotator cuff tears in older patients is thedebridement of subacromial bursa, biceps tenotomy, and tuberoplasty (reverse acromioplasty). This study aimed toreport the effectiveness of such a treatment performed arthroscopically in a small group of patients for a short periodof time. Methods: This pros...
متن کاملArthroscopic Superior Capsule Reconstruction Technique in the Setting of a Massive, Irreparable Rotator Cuff Tear
Massive, irreparable rotator cuff tears are challenging to treat and associated with pain and severe limitation in shoulder elevation due to the proximal migration of the humeral head and, consequently, subacromial impingement. Furthermore, retraction of the tendons in combination with fat infiltration and muscular weakness results in unpredictable treatment outcomes. While conservative treatme...
متن کاملRecurrent anterior shoulder dislocation with glenoid bone loss and concurrent irreparable rotator cuff tear in a young patient: case report.
Full-thickness rotator cuff tear associated with gleno-humeral anterior dislocation is a rare injury in patients younger than 40 years of age. We here report a case of recurrent anterior shoulder dislocation with glenoid bone loss and concurrent irreparable rotator cuff tear in a young patient. This is, to the best of our knowledge, the first such case reported in the literature. We also discus...

متن کاملRotator Cuff Tear : Arthroscopic Treatment
Arthroscopic treatment of rotator cuff tears has become a routine procedure following a general trend toward using less invasive procedures. Proponents of this technique emphasize the decreased risk of complications such as infection, stiffness, and deltoid avulsions, whereas critics mention the lack of long-term studies, the controversy over the strength of fixation, and the technical challeng...
