Travertine/tufa resource conservation and sustainable development call for a world-wide initiative

Travertine/Tufa landscape is an important heritage and ecological wealth given to mankind by nature. itself has excellent scientific aesthetic value, mostly with geological archives such as volcanoes, tectonics, glaciers, well fingerprints referring climate evolution of life. However, these travertine/tufa landscapes also face degradation disappearance caused change, natural disasters, human activities. Strengthening the conservation sustainable development world's resources not only a slogan, but requires creation linked platform for participation people from all over world. This implies necessity sharing databases technical reserves, involvement more in through construction culture. By recognizing urgency resource conservation, this paper proposes four initiatives research aimed at guiding further promoting international cooperation achieve effective resources.
