Transportation Energy Demand Modeling with Artificial Neural Networks

Energy demands of countries are changing rapidly in parallel with development, industrialization, urbanization, the spread technology, prosperity, and population growth. use transport sector last few years, Turkey has shown a significant increase. Therefore, energy management predicting critically important to environmental safety upcoming economic well-being. In recent studies determine demand have accelerated. Addition, order estimate levels most accurate way, appropriate model should be selected. this study, different models for Turkey's by using artificial neural networks been established. Population, oil prices, gross domestic product, ton-km, vehicle-km, passenger-km selected as parameters considering 1975 2016 data. The best is tried obtained which used together. was established price, population, ton-km it determined that had lowest error highest R2 values.
