چکیده

Transmembrane 29 (Tmem29) gene with unknown function is a located on the X chromosome of mouse genome. The showed differential expression in Vannucci neonatal hypoxic-ischemic brain model. We found expresses different molecular forms, including group long non-coding RNA forming family transcripts. It was predominantly expressed testes, brain, and kidney mouse. In vitro identification functional characterization were carried out Neuro2a cells. Using fluorescence microscopy, Tmem29 protein to be constitutively cell lines origins. Oxygen glucose deprivation (OGD) induced apoptotic death cells confirmed by activations caspase 3. associated especially at time points 3 activations. A similar response obtained (GD) cultures suggesting common mechanism OGD GD. Downregulation GD, further validating its hypoxia-ischemia (HI) insults. Our findings contributed understanding events after insults opens new avenues for developing protective therapeutic strategies encephalopathy or even pathological programmed death.

Mannitol therapy in perinatal hypoxic-ischemic brain damage in rats.

To study the efficacy of mannitol in reducing cerebral edema and improving the ultimate neuropathologic outcome in perinatal cerebral hypoxia-ischemia, 67 7-day postnatal rats were subjected to unilateral common carotid artery ligation followed by exposure to 8% oxygen at 37 degrees C for 3 hours. Twenty-seven rat pups received a subcutaneous injection of 0.1 ml mannitol in a dosage of 4 mg/kg ...

Animal models of hypoxic-ischemic brain damage in the newborn.

Controversy continues over which animal model to use as a reflection of human disease states. With respect to perinatal brain disorders, scientists must contend with a disease in evolution. In that regard, the perinatal brain is at risk during a time of extremely rapid development and maturation, involving processes that are required for normal growth. Interfering with these processes, as part ...

Metabolic stages, mitochondria and calcium in hypoxic/ischemic brain damage.

Cerebral hypoxia/ischemia leads to mitochondrial dysfunction due to lack of oxygen leaving the glycolytic metabolism as a main pathway for ATP production. Inhibition of mitochondrial respiration thus triggers generation of lactate and hydrogen ions (H+), and furthermore dramatically reduces ATP generation leading to disregulation of cellular ion metabolism with subsequent intracellular calcium ...

Phenytoin pretreatment prevents hypoxic-ischemic brain damage in neonatal rats.

This study was performed to investigate whether the anticonvulsant phenytoin has neuroprotective effect in a model of hypoxia-ischemia with neonatal rats. The left carotid artery of each rat was ligated, followed by 3 h of hypoxic exposure (8% O2) in a temperature-regulated environment (36 degrees C). Two weeks later, brain damage was assessed by measuring loss of brain hemisphere weight. Pheny...

MK-801 protects the neonatal brain from hypoxic-ischemic damage.

Enhanced synaptic release of excitatory amino acid neurotransmitters may contribute to brain injury from hypoxia-ischemia (Meldrum, 1985; Simon et al., 1984). To examine this hypothesis in neonatal brain we tested MK-80I , a novel noncompetitive N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor antagonist, using an in vivo experimental model of hypoxic-ischemic forebrain injury (Johnston, 1983). To induce i...
