چکیده
Objective: To evaluate the transmittance (%T) and color difference (ΔE*) of six zirconia core materials compared to alumina, over eight colored substrates before after ceramic application. Methods: Experimental groups (n=5) standardized disk-shaped cores white zirconia, medium-colored Ice Translucent, Prettau (white D3 colored) were veneered a uniform thickness convenient by layering. Their %T ΔE* different determined glazing. Data analyzed with Kruskal-Wallis Mann-Whitney tests (α<0.05). Results: values significantly (p<0.001) application for all materials. Regarding %T, was most affected, overpassing alumina. Colored decreased equally. In terms ΔE*, initially performed high above clinically acceptable threshold but under it ceramics White only material perform below clinical perceptibility threshold. Alumina two substrates, application, four. Substrates influenced evident on three them. Conclusions: Core values. showed less than both alumina After substrates. have more influence

Color and translucency of resin composites for layering techniques.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the colors of resin composites used for the layering technique, as well as the translucency at various thickness. For the purpose of calculating the translucency parameter (TP), black and white backings were used to evaluate the CIELAB parameters of Filtek Supreme (3M) and Gradia Direct (GC) disks of various thicknesses (0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0 mm) a...

15 صفحه اولTranslucency of Dental Ceramic, Post and Bracket
Translucency of dental ceramics, esthetic posts and orthodontic brackets was reviewed. Translucency parameter (TP) and contrast ratio (CR) are generally used for translucency evaluation. For the evaluation of translucency, two criteria such as the translucency of human teeth (TP = 15-19, 1 mm thick) and the visual perceptibility threshold for the translucency difference (∆CR > 0.07 or ∆TP > 2) ...
متن کاملInfluence of resin cement shade on the color and translucency of ceramic veneers
OBJECTIVE This in vitro study evaluated the effect of two different shades of resin cement (RC- A1 and A3) layer on color change, translucency parameter (TP), and chroma of low (LT) and high (HT) translucent reinforced lithium disilicate ceramic laminates. MATERIAL AND METHODS One dual-cured RC (Variolink II, A1- and A3-shade, Ivoclar Vivadent) was applied to 1-mm thick ceramic discs to creat...
