چکیده
Abstract Xylan is the main contaminant of hardwood sulphite dissolving pulp used for production regenerated cellulose. The amount xylan in should not exceed minimum allowable values and which easy to achieve. To control pulping process, a basic knowledge removal essential. In this study, Eucalyptus globulus glucuronoxylan (GX) conversion during acidic Mg-base acid was assessed first time pilot experiments simulating industrial process. kinetics GX degradation changes its structure molecular weight along all steps were evaluated. According pentosans analysis, more than 60% wood removed already heating-up step. A pseudo-first-order reaction at final temperature 140–148 °C obtained with an activation energy 133.4 kJ/mol. Removal residual from hampered by entrapment cellulose fibril aggregates. dynamics deacetylation depolymerization isolated samples revealed 2D NMR SEC techniques, respectively. Overall, predetermined structural heterogeneity cell wall, rather occurring pulping.

Deresination Options in Sulphite Pulping
Three methods for improved deresination of sulphite pulps were evaluated, namely, alkaline washing, enzyme treatment, and pulp fractionation. Alkaline washing appears to come at a high cost, because caustic is expensive and affects cellulose chain length, as indicated by lower viscosity of the pulps. Thus this is not a viable option for pulps that are sensitive to changes in viscosity. Enzyme t...

O aumento do álcali at...
متن کاملVariation of Wood Pulping and Bleached Pulp Properties Along the Stem in Mature Eucalyptus globulus Trees
The wood of a mature (40-year-old) Eucalyptus globulus Labill tree was characterized at different stem height levels (0%, 10%, 35%, and 50% of total height) regarding pulping, bleaching, and paper properties. Pulp yields increased upwards from 46% to 50%, and Kappa number decreased from 17.5 to 12.3 at 0 and 50% height, respectively. The estimated specific wood consumption ranged from 3.2 m odt...
متن کاملControl of sulphite pulping wastes in the United States.
Statistics indicate that US capacities for acid and neutral suiphite pulping are presently at about the same level, running about 10000 short tons daily for each type of pulp. It is projected that acid suiphite will remain at about this level over the next ten years while the production of neutral suiphite will probably double. Most of the spent liquor from the operating mills is burned with or...
متن کاملDissolving Pulp Production from Bamboo
Commercial bamboo chips were evaluated as raw material for dissolving pulp production. The chips were auto-hydrolyzed (AH) and subsequently cooked by the NaOH/AQ process and bleached to full brightness with the O-CCE-D-(EP)-D-P sequence. The term CCE designates a cold caustic extraction stage. The bamboo chip chemistry (22.4% lignin, 19.5% xylans, 49.3% cellulose, 16.8% total extractives, and 1...
