TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP, POLITICAL SKILL, ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE, AND EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE: A CASE FROM TOURISM COMPANY IN INDONESIA

Tourism industry has occupied a strategic position in the country's economic growth. The factors that trigger high performance of companies engaged this are very crucial. purpose study is to test correlation transformational leadership (TL), political skill (PS), organizational culture (OC), and employee (EP), investigate role OC as mediation variable. samples consisted 110 respondents from Company Indonesia. sample was determined by Slovin formula. data were collected through questionnaire instruments. current employed quantitative method. To hypotheses, PLS (Partial Least Square) applied analyzing data. This found TL OC, PS EP positive significance. also justified could mediate on EP. However, it indicated did not affect important implications for managers such encouraging tourism sector strengthening (such adaptive, collaborative, flexible, team oriented), enhancing understanding others, having social skill, increasing an ability influence others). These findings confirmed contrasted previous studies conducted.
