TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP AND EMPLOYEE JOB PERFORMANCE IN THE WATER RESOURCES AUTHORITY

The researcher studied on the effect of transformational leadership employee job performance in Water Resources Authority. study was guided by Bass’ four components thus idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation and individualized consideration as independent variables dependent variable. population 400 employees Lake Victoria Basin Areas (Regions) Authority out which a sample 200 respondents selected using Taro Yamane Formula. Stratified random sampling technique employed to select for then questionnaires were distributed them randomly. used both primary secondary data this study. Primary collected structured prepared analyzed with help Statistical Package Social Sciences (SPSS) version 24. Secondary from library resources, journal articles other published research papers mainly online journals. Descriptive statistics like means, standard deviations well inferential statistics; correlations regressions analyses conducted. findings established that there is significant positive influence idealized, Therefore, constructs are predicator concluded improvement characteristics would results an increase recommended leaders water sector should embrace two-way communication commit creating environment trust will boost employees’ confidence organization enhance their performance. Further, continuously provide inspiring vision mission efforts meeting achieving set organizational goals objectives.
