Transfer mechanisms for lean implementation with OHS integration in the garment industry

Purpose Lean manufacturing has the potential for simultaneously improving competitiveness and social sustainability of apparel industry in developing countries. However, there is limited research on ways to a successful lean implementation countries with an emphasis occupational health safety (OHS) improvement. Design/methodology/approach The paper investigates four cases garment factories uses design science strategy, building context-intervention-mechanism-outcome (CIMO) framework identify explanatory mechanisms that can be used designing future action.
