چکیده
Beta-cypermethrin is one of the most widely used pyrethroid insecticides. However, its continuous and extensive use developed pests’ resistance to beta-cypermethrin. To identify candidate genes for potential phenotypes facilitate more targeted studies, we screened out a wide range resistance-related by comparing multiple transcripts before after induction agents. In this study, transcriptomes were compared elucidate mechanisms genetic basis between Rhopalosiphum padi (R. padi) sensitive (SS) resistant (Beta-R) strains beta-cypermethrin (resistance ratio: 4588.48). These two aphids treated with spray solution lethal concentration (i.e., LC50). obtain diverse transcripts, obtained 17,985,440–25,478,353 clean data from different transcript groups, which 17,183 annotated. Subsequently, these divided into groups comparison purposes comprehensive related resistance. There 178 2856 differentially expressed (DEGs) in groups. The DEGs, including enriched ones, classified according GO KEGG Pathway databases. Besides, some drug-resistant DEGs cuticle proteins detoxification metabolic processes. Among them, 17 protein upregulated 20 downregulated, 11 P450 25 7 UGT 15 2 ABC transporter 4 trypsin 1 downregulated. Finally, qRT-PCR confirmed observed trend RNA sequencing expression profile, results consistent (RNA-seq). study are highly significant understanding phenomenon R. other similar wheat aphids, establishing valuable further research complex mechanism

Resistance to Rhopalosiphum padi (Homoptera: Aphididae) in three triticale accessions.
Experiments were conducted to identify and characterize host plant resistance to bird cherry-oat aphid, Rhopalosiphum padi (L.), in various wheat and wheat-grass hybrids. Initial tests screened for resistance to R. padi among 12 grass accessions (eight wheat [Triticum aestivum L.], three triticale [XTriticosecale Wittmack], and 1XElytricum [Elytrigia elongata [Host] Nevski x Triticum aestivum h...
متن کاملRhopalosiphum padi (Hemiptera: Aphididae) responses to volatile cues from Barley yellow dwarf virus-infected wheat.
In choice bioassays, Rhopalosiphum padi L. nonviruliferous apterae preferentially locate near volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emitted from Barley yellow dwarf virus (BYDV)-infected wheat plants compared with VOCs from noninfected plants. However, the specific VOCs responsible for R. padi responses are unknown. It is unclear also if R. padi responses to BYDV-infected wheat are caused by arrest...
متن کاملMechanism of Entomotoxicity of the Concanavalin A in Rhopalosiphum padi (Hemiptera: Aphididae)
The toxicity effect of Concanavalin A (Canavalia ensiformis lectin, ConA) to bird cherry-oat aphid, Rhopalosiphum padi L. (Hemiptera: Aphididae), was investigated in the laboratory by using artificial diets containing ConA concentrations. Bird cherry-oat aphid performance was affected by the presence of Con A in artificial diets. The lectin added into the liquid diet increased the prereproducti...
متن کاملTesting the fecundity advantage hypothesis with Sitobion avenae, Rhopalosiphum padi, and Schizaphis graminum (Hemiptera: Aphididae) feeding on ten wheat accessions
The fecundity advantage hypothesis suggests that females with a large body size produce more offspring than smaller females. We tested this hypothesis by exploring the correlations between life-history traits of three aphid species feeding on ten wheat accessions at three levels of analysis with respect to the host plant: overall, inter-accession, and intra-accession. We found that fecundity wa...
متن کاملLanding Preference and Reproduction of Rhopalosiphum padi (Hemiptera: Aphididae) in the Laboratory on Three Maize, Potato, and Wheat Cultivars
The bird cherry-oat aphid Rhopalosiphum padi (L.) transmits the nonpersistent Potato virus Y (PVY) to seed potatoes. Planting a nonvirus host plant around the main crop can reduce PVY incidence, because aphids tend to land in high numbers at the edge of a field and the crop border acts as a virus sink. This study determined R. padi landing and settling preferences and reproductive rates on thre...
