Transcriptome and Metabolome Analyses of Glucosinolate Biosynthesis-Related Genes in Different Organs of Broccoli (Brassica oleracea L. var. italica)

Broccoli (Brassica oleracea L. var. italica) is a globally popular vegetable because of its nutrient richness, especially glucosinolates (GSLs). The content GSLs in different organs broccoli varies greatly. However, few studies have focused on the differences biosynthesis-related genes organs. In this study, we selected extreme individuals from an F2 population and mixed them to form low high glucoraphanin pools leaf, stalk floret, respectively. Transcriptome metabolome analyses showed that 539, 755 617 are significantly differentially expressed, 44, 66 118 metabolites accumulated floret comparison groups, combined analysis revealed some such as Bo5g113720, Bo2g161100 Bo7g09800, Bo4g018590, Bo5g021810, Bo2g011730 expression trends between pools, which increased accumulation glucoraphanin. These levels three plant parts. Strikingly, upregulated hormone signal transduction-related TIFY, JAR1, IAA, GH3 SAU, also tentatively identified flavonoid metabolites. Our study deepens understanding glucosinolate biosynthesis at molecular level, provides evidence for crosstalk flavonoids pathways.
