Transcriptional analysis reveals formation of axillary solitary hook in vine plant Uncaria rhynchophylla

چکیده

Abstract The hook of Uncaria rhynchophylla is an important external phenotype representing the quality Gou-Teng. formation pattern U. displays a unique feature that solitary and opposite hooks alternately occur in leaf axils forming liner series. only grows on lower side axil, resulting from decline total yield hooks. However, reasons for are not clear. Therefore, survey molecular mechanisms needs to be performed urgently. We obtained 250.67 million high-quality clean reads axillary stem segments (HS) upper (HSCK) libraries. detected 42 DEGs (differentially expressed genes) between HS HSCK libraries; 11 were down-regulated, 31 up-regulated. Gene ontology functional classification indicated they included two genes encoded LAZY1 related regulation polar auxin transport, AUX/IAA AP2/ERF plant hormone signaling transduction, F3H flavone synthase activity. These six associated with lateral transport (PAT) regulation, their expression level had high correlation IAA distribution upon gravity stimulation. And inhibition development was observed after treatment N -1-naphthylphthalamic acid (NPA) or quercetin, which known as inhibitor. above findings might provide new information about PAT bud process under gravity.

Evaluation of anti-Parkinson’s activity of Uncaria rhynchophylla in 6-hydroxy dopamine lesioned rat model

The present study was designed to evaluate the possible Anti-Parkinson’s activity of aqueous extract of hooks with stem of Uncaria rhynchophylla which is showing monoamine oxidase-B (MAO-B) inhibition and anti-oxidant activity. On zero day wistar rats were treated with 6-hydroxy dopamine (2μg/μl) intra nigrally. After 48 hrs of induction, aqueous extract of Uncaria rhynchophylla (200 mg/kg/day,...

Hirsutine, an Indole Alkaloid of Uncaria rhynchophylla, Inhibits Late Step in Dengue Virus Lifecycle

Dengue virus (DENV) is transmitted to humans by Aedes mosquitoes and is a public health issue worldwide. No antiviral drugs specific for treating dengue infection are currently available. To identify novel DENV inhibitors, we analyzed a library of 95 compounds and 120 extracts derived from crude drugs (herbal medicines). In the primary screening, A549 cells infected with DENV-1 were cultured in...

Hirsutine, an indole alkaloid of Uncaria rhynchophylla, inhibits inflammation-mediated neurotoxicity and microglial activation.

Chronic microglial activation endangers neuronal survival through the release of various pro-inflammatory and neurotoxic factors. As such, negative regulators of microglial activation have been considered as potential therapeutic candidates to reduce the risk of neurodegeneration associated with inflammation. Uncaria rhynchophylla (U. rhynchophylla) is a traditional oriental herb that has been ...
