Transcending Conventional Biometry Frontiers: Diffusive Dynamics PPG Biometry

This paper presents the first photoplethysmographic (PPG) signal dynamic-based biometric authentication system with a Siamese convolutional neural network (CNN). Our method extracts PPG signal’s characteristics from its diffusive dynamics, characterized by geometric patterns in (p,q)-planes specific to 0–1 test. dynamics are strongly dependent on vascular bed’s biostructure, unique each individual. The dynamic of more stable over time than morphological features, particularly presence psychosomatic conditions. Besides robustness, our is anti-spoofing, given complex nature blood network. proposal trains using national research study database 40 real-world signals measured commercial equipment. Biometric results for input data, raw and preprocessed, studied compared eight primary methods related PPG, achieving best equal error rate (ERR) processing times single attempt, among all them.
