Trajectory of autoantibody-based cancer biomarker research

The progression of autoantibodies (AAbs) to tumor antigens is a humoral immune response that occurs early in development. Serum AAbs are ideal targets for cancer detection given observed sera from patients with various cancers before cancer-associated can be detected, moreover, found up five years symptomatic disease. Although multiple proteomics-based strategies have been developed identify novel and treatment cancer, only few satisfied strict clinical requirements. In this paper, we review the trajectory autoantibody research terms diagnosis then discuss future perspectives on autoantibody-based therapeutics.
