Traits selection criteria for genetic improvement of grain and leafy Amaranth (Amaranthus spp) using Principal Component Analysis

چکیده
Grain Amaranths are important nutritional vegetables in the world for their grains and leaves. Twelve grain Amaranth accessions were evaluated performances using randomized complete block design with 3 replications 2 years to measure variability group accessions. Analysis of Variance revealed significant among Amaranths. Phenotypic variances higher magnitude than genotypic variance all traits studied. High genetic advance was obtained characters except 1000 weight (23.61). The coefficients variations lower phenotypic coefficient variations. Heritability ranged from 41.08% yield/plot 62.18% plant height at flowering. yield positive highly significantly correlated weight, leaf area but length width. PCA four main components representing 78.06% total 12 amaranth identified as strongly three principal components. PC1 is well-correlated Plant flowering, Stem girth, Number leaves, maturity, width, length, Petiole length. bi-plot analysis classified accession NG/AA/03/11/010, NGB 01259, 0127 having good desired traits, Accession NHGB/09/108, NG/AO/08/04 01261 grouped better attributes, while 01234, NHGB 09/09 NHAC3 dual purpose yield.

Analysis of Variability Parameters for Morphological and Agronomic Traits in Grain Amaranth (amaranthus Sp) Genotypes
Grain Amaranth is a very versatile pseudo-cereal crop and grown in a wide range of agro-climatic conditions (temperature 20-40oC, elevation 500-2500m amsl and rainfall 800 mm to 1500 mm). The genus Amaranthus consists of approximately 60 species out of which about 18 species are occurring in India. There are three major grain producing Amaranthus species, A. caudatus, A. cruentus and A. hypocho...
متن کاملInternal Traits of Eggs and Their Relationship to Shank Feathering in Chicken Using Principal Component Analysis
Chicken eggs represent an important source of protein to the growing human population and also supply repositories of unique genes that could be used worldwide. The inheritance of shank feathering trait is dominant upon non-feathering shank trait in chicken which is based on two factors: pti-1L and pti-1B that are located on Chromosomes 13, 15, and 24. Using 185 fertile eggs collected from two ...
متن کاملGenetic studies for biochemical and quantitative characters in grain amaranth (Amaranthus hypochondriacus L.)
Twenty six accessions of grain Amaranth (Amaranthus hypochondriacus L.) were evaluated for salient biochemical and quantitative traits particularly reference to chlorophyll a and b, total chlorophyll, phenol content, leaf moisture, leaf protein content, test weight and yield plant. Genetic divergence and association among these traits were analysed. Chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, total chlorophy...
متن کاملEvidence from principal component analysis for improvement of grain shape- and spikelet morphology-related traits after hexaploid wheat speciation.
Grain shape and size are involved in the main components of the domestication syndrome in cereals. Wheat grain shape has been dramatically altered at each stage of the domestication of tetraploid wheat and through common wheat speciation. To elucidate the evolutionary change of wheat grain shape, principal component (PC) analysis of grain shape-related traits was first conducted using wild and ...
