چکیده
Background : Sentul fruit peel extract has an antibacterial activity since it contains saponin, flavonoid, phenol, and tannin. Hence, can be utilized in oral infection treatment. The safety level of herbal medicines needs to studied by using a toxicity test. study aims discover the extract. Subjects Method was conducted laboratory Faculty Food Technology Warmadewa University Medicine Health Sciences University. independent variables were various doses administered orally. dependent variable acute test mice used experimental design that observed qualitatively quantitatively. animals 25 male white (Mus musculus) divided into 5 groups. Data collected based on results examinations from subsequently analyzed descriptively. Results Based LD50 Toxicity Test Mice, samples did not cause toxic symptoms form decreased heart activity, convulsions, movement slow breathing. administration categorized as non-toxic because do experience abnormal there no death after gavage method at all for 14 days, thus safe use medicinal ingredient. Ichthyotoxic and anticarcinogenic effects of triterpenoids from Sandoricum koetjape bark.
After bioassay-guided fractionation of the extract from Sandoricum koetjape bark, which exhibited significant toxicity to killifish (Oryzias latipes), two ichthyotoxic triterpenoids were isolated and characterized as koetjapic acid and 3-oxo-olean-12-en-29-oic acid. These constituents, along with non-toxic katonic acid, had a remarkable inhibitory effect on Epstein-Barr virus early antigen (EBV...
