چکیده
The essential oil (EO) from different genotypes of Lippia gracilis Schauer (Verbenaceae) present two distinctive chemotypes containing either thymol or its isomer carvacrol as major compounds, both which have proven bioactivity against several agricultural pests. Recently, we shown that L. accession LGRA 106 and compound are toxic repellent the coconut mite, Aceria guerreronis Keifer (Acari: Eriophyidae), a key pest plantations in Asia, Africa America. Since intraspecific variation affects chemical composition EO hence, bioactivity, here assessed acaricidal effects LGRA109 to A. guerreronis. Leaves this contain (49.35%) compound. LC50 estimated for were 28.01 6.84 mg/mL, respectively. Carvacrol, at LC50, well their LC99, repelled mite. Our results indicated bioactive guerreronis; however, was less effective than

The coconut mite, Aceria guerreronis Keifer, has become one of the most important pests of coconut in the Americas and Africa and recently in Southeast Asia. Despite the great economic importance of this mite, there is a lack of information on its origin and invasion history that are important to guide the search of biological control agents as well as the adoption of quarantine procedures.
