چکیده

Abstract The energy gap law ( E G -law) and aggregation quenching are the main limitations to overcome in design of near-infrared (NIR) organic emitters. Here, we achieve unprecedented results by synergistically addressing both these limitations. First, propose porphyrin oligomers with increasing length attenuate effects -law suppressing non-radiative rate growth, increase radiative via enhancement oscillator strength. Second, side chains suppress quenching. We find that logarithmic variation vs. is suppressed an order magnitude respect previous studies, complement this breakthrough demonstrating light-emitting diodes average external quantum efficiency ~1.1%, which very promising for a heavy-metal-free 850 nm emitter. also present novel quantitative model internal active layers supporting triplet-to-singlet conversion. These provide general strategy designing high-luminance NIR

High-efficiency organic light-emitting diodes with fluorescent emitters.

Fluorescence-based organic light-emitting diodes have continued to attract interest because of their long operational lifetimes, high colour purity of electroluminescence and potential to be manufactured at low cost in next-generation full-colour display and lighting applications. In fluorescent molecules, however, the exciton production efficiency is limited to 25% due to the deactivation of t...

Effect of near-infrared light-emitting diodes on nerve regeneration.

BACKGROUND Photobiomodulation by red to near-infrared light-emitting diodes (LEDs) has been reported to accelerate wound healing, attenuate degeneration of an injured optic nerve, and promote tissue growth. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of LEDs on nerve regeneration. A histological study as well as a measurement of antioxidation levels in the nerve regeneration chamber...

Organic light-emitting diodes with integrated inorganic photo detector for near-infrared optical up-conversion

We report a hybrid up-conversion device integrating a In0.2Ga0.8As/GaAs MQWs photodetector with an organic light emitting diode (OLED), that converts input 980 nm infrared light to output 520 nm green light. Devices with different interface layer, used as the hole injection layer (HIL) in OLEDs were fabricated and tested. It was found that the device with an HIL of MoO3-doped CuPc exhibited a l...

Phosphorescent cyclometalated complexes for efficient blue organic light-emitting diodes

Phosphorescent emitters are extremely important for efficient organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), which attract significant attention. Phosphorescent emitters, which have a high phosphorescence quantum yield at room temperature, typically contain a heavy metal such as iridium and have been reported to emit blue, green and red light. In particular, the blue cyclometalated complexes with high ...
