چکیده
Background Tele-mentoring facilitates the transfer of surgical knowledge. The objective this work is to develop a tele-mentoring framework that enables specialist surgeon mentor an operating by transferring information in form instruments' motion required during minimally invasive surgery. Method A developed video stream field, poses scope and port placement from room remote location. From location, virtual instruments augmented onto field sent room. Results proposed suitable be integrated with laparoscopic as well robotic surgeries. It takes on average 1.56 s send location 0.089 for vice versa over local area network. Conclusions demonstrates

Design of a Haptic System for Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgeries
In the present paper, we describe the mechanical design and working principle of a haptic device to be used during minimally invasive single port access cardiac surgeries. The details to hardware/software design and implementation to electronically actuate the device will be also presented. The viability of the design will be demonstrated by integrating the virtual representation of the left ve...
متن کاملSynchronized Multimodal Recording System for Laparoscopic Minimally Invasive Surgeries
Collecting data under regular conditions inside an operating room is a complicated and time-comsuming venture. Tight safety regulations have to be accounted for, like e.g. sterility, biocompatibility of materials, interference with regular workflow, and more. For recording high quality data, the different data-streams have to be precisely synchronized. The multimodal extendable recording system...
متن کاملEndoBot: a Robotic Assistant in Minimally Invasive Surgeries
This paper presents a new surgical robotic system called EndoBot for assisting surgeons in performing minimally invasive surgery(MIS). The EndoBot is designed for collaborative operation between the surgeon and the robot. The demand on the surgeon is higher during suturing task which is the primary tissue approximation method and has been known as one of the most diÆcult tasks in MIS. Our work ...
متن کاملA Point-Based Simulation Framework for Minimally Invasive Surgery
In this paper, we present a physically-based simulation framework to build up real-time Minimally invasive surgery (MIS) simulators using pointbased techniques. In our framework, simulations of organ contacts, collisions, deformations and haptic feedbacks are all based on discrete physics points. We propose a new smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) approach to simulate non-linear biological s...
متن کاملA mixed analysis comparing nine minimally invasive surgeries for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma patients
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is usually managed by the transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE). However, this technique has been challenged since severe complications have been observed in clinical practices. As a result, clinicians have started to seek other minimally invasive surgeries with equivalent efficacy. The corresponding surgeries were assessed by the five outcomes: complete...
