Towards Building Community Collective Efficacy for Managing Digital Privacy and Security within Older Adult Communities

Older adults are increasingly becoming adopters of digital technologies, such as smartphones; however, this population remains particularly vulnerable to privacy and security threats. To date, most research on technology used among older focuses helping individuals overcome their discomfort or lack expertise with protect them from Instead, we interested in how communities work together collectively manage security. do this, surveyed 67 across two adult (59 eight employees volunteers) found that the community's collective efficacy for was significantly correlated individuals' self-efficacy, power usage technology, sense community belonging.
