چکیده

Abstract The Red Sea, home to the second-longest coral reef system in world, is a vital resource for Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Sea provides 90% Kingdom’s potable water by desalinization, supporting tourism, shipping, aquaculture, and fishing industries, which together contribute about 10%–20% country’s GDP. All these activities, those elsewhere region, critically depend on oceanic atmospheric conditions. At time mega-development projects along coast, global warming, authorities are working optimizing harnessing environmental resources, including renewable energy rainwater harvesting. require high-resolution weather climate information. Toward this end, we have undertaken multipronged research development activity developing an integrated data-driven regional coupled modeling system. telescopically nested components include 5-km- 600-m-resolution models address challenges, 4-km- 50-m-resolution ocean with coastal configurations simulate predict general mesoscale circulation, 100-m-resolution ecosystem biogeochemistry, 1-km- wave models. In addition, complementary probabilistic transport predicts dispersion contaminant plumes, oil spill, marine connectivity. Advanced ensemble data assimilation capabilities also been implemented accurate forecasting. Resulting achievements significant advancement our understanding circulation its connection climate, development, validation long-term atmospheric–oceanic–wave reanalyses forecasting capacities. These products being extensively used academia, government, industry various studies operations, policies, applications, impact assessment, flood forecasting, more.

Comprehensive end-to-end test for intensity-modulated radiation therapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma using an anthropomorphic phantom and EBT3 film

Background: In head and neck radiotherapy, immobilization devices can affect dose delivery. In this study, a comprehensive end-to-end test was developed to evaluate the accuracy of radiotherapy treatment. Materials and Methods: An Alderson Radiation Therapy (ART) anthropomorphic phantom with EBT3 film was used to mimic the actual patient treatment process. Ten patients treated for nasopharyngea...
