Towards a better understanding of the bacterial pan-genome

The bacterial pan-genome is a relatively new concept that refers to the number of genes observed in given set genome sequences, either at intra- or inter-species level. Determining species bacteria using large strains allows one compare multiple and determine evolutionary links between isolates. This information can help population structure, diversity terms prevalence environment pathogenicity microorganisms. Within this review, we explain most important issues related studies. We also include brief description some selected pan-genomes. Finally, propose an easy-toperform workflow study pan-genomes will facilitate nonexperts pan-genome-based investigation.
