Toward Pre-Empted EV Charging Recommendation Through V2V-Based Reservation System

چکیده
Electric vehicles (EVs) are being introduced by different manufacturers, thanks to their environment-friendly perspective alleviate CO 2 pollution. In this paper, the proposed EV charging management scheme enables pre-empted service for heterogeneous EVs (depends on capabilities, brands, etc.). Particularly, anticipated EVs' reservations information, including arrival time and expected at stations (CSs), brought planning CS-selection (where charge). Along with applying ubiquitous cellular network communication deliver (delay tolerant) reservations, we further study feasibility of opportunistic vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) delay/disruption tolerant networking (DTN) nature, due primarily its flexibility cost-efficiency in vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs). Evaluation results under realistic Helsinki city scenario show that V2V-based reservation is promisingly cost-efficient terms overhead, while achieving a comparable performance apply communication.

Charging schemes for reservation-based networks
The definition of an adequate charging scheme for reservation-based multi-service networks and internetworks is one of the key factors destined to influence the wide use and deployment of these networks in the next decades. This paper presents some of the authors' ideas on this subject and is intended to be a framework on which future works in this area can be based. It comprises an approach to...
متن کاملOnline Reservation and Deferral of EV Charging Tasks to Reduce Energy Use Variability in Smart Grids
Utilities face complex problems of peak demand and intermittent supply, made more pressing by the need to integrate large EV loads and distributed generation. The added flexibility of EV loads, which can charge at varying rates, together with forecasts of renewable availability can be used to reduce integration costs. We show that, in addition, the lookahead provided by requesting EVs to telegr...
متن کاملPrivacy-Preserving Physical-Layer-Assisted Charging Authorization Scheme for EV Dynamic Charging System
Dynamic charging system will enable moving electrical vehicles (EVs) to charge their batteries through magnetic induction by charging pads (CPs) placed on a portion of the roadbed. To realize such a system, the EVs need to communicate with the various parts of the system that include a bank, a charging service provider (CSP), road side units (RSUs), and CPs. In this paper, we propose a secure a...
متن کاملCongestion Games for V2G-Enabled EV Charging
A model of the problem of charging and discharging electrical vehicles as a congestion game is presented. A generalization of congestion games – feedback congestion games (FCG) – is introduced. The charging of gridintegrated vehicles, which can also discharge energy back to the grid, is a natural FCG application. FCGs are proven to be exact potential games and therefore converge to a pure-strat...
متن کاملSecuring the information infrastructure for EV charging
We consider the functional and security requirements for the information exchanges in the infrastructure for EV charging being trialled in the Netherlands, which includes support for congestion management using the smart charging protocol OSCP. We note that current solutions do not provide true end-to-end security, even if all communication links are secured (for instance with TLS), as some dat...
