Tourism Economy and Local Development in San-Pedro

Coastal city of the Ivory Coast, San-Pedro is rich in natural, economic and tourist resources. This study analyses contribution tourism economy to local development. Documentary research a field survey were used collect data. It should be remembered that has floristic, climatic hydrographic assets. Moreover, human capital one pillars this activity with diversity actors, socio-cultural wealth including remarkable historic sites (10) twenty-eight (28) establishments varied standing. Despite these assets, suffers from an organizational dysfunction weakness investments. With 64% Ivorian workforce working mainly informal or ephemeral sectors linked economy, only 10% households surveyed said they feeling effects it. The spatial, social impact sector remains below real potential locality expectations.
