چکیده
Nickel-based superalloys are widely used in the aerospace, automotive, marine and medical sectors, owing to their high mechanical strength corrosion resistance. However, they exhibit poor machinability due low thermal conductivity, shear modulus, strain hardening, etc. Various modifications have been incorporated into existing machining techniques address these issues. One such modification is incorporation of ultrasonic assistance turning operations. The assisted process popularly known as (UAT), uses vibration processing zone cut material. present article investigates effect on coated carbide tool wear for Nimonic-90 under dry wet conditions. UAT conventional (CT) were performed at constant cutting speed, feed rate depth cut. results show that main mechanisms abrasion, chipping, notch adhesion built-up edge both processes. by using a coolant, formation was reduced. CT conditions showed an approximate reduction 20% width flank compared reductions 6–20% force 13–27% process. chips formed during thinner, smoother shorter than those CT.
