Tomography with sparseness regularisation for ultrasonic velocity imaging

چکیده
Abstract Ultrasonic tomography, which is widely used in the study of fracturing process rocks, often exhibits low resolution due to insufficient ray coverage, particularly while evaluating three-dimensional (3D) fractures. To resolve this issue, we adopted sparseness regularisation tomography reconstruct ultrasonic velocity rocks. Both numerical and laboratory experiments demonstrate that with generates images clear fracture morphology than Tikhonov regularisation. Dynamic monitoring a granite slab two-dimensional (2D) can reveal accurate development process. The experiment on internal structure tight sandstone after hydraulic reveals demarcated low-velocity regions 3D These correspond positions fractures when compared X-ray scanning images. Thus, improve images, be accurately describe strain localisation during rock deformation.

Prostate cancer remains a major public health problem worldwide. Imaging plays an important role in the assessment of disease at all its clinical phases, including staging, restaging after definitive therapy, evaluation of therapy response, and prognostication. Positron emission tomography with a number of biologically targeted radiotracers has been demonstrated to have potential diagnostic and...
متن کاملAirborne Ultrasonic Transducers for Ultrasonic Transmission Tomography in Gaseous Media
Ultrasonic transmission tomography is one of the measurement methods used for imaging of internal structure of various media. The method can be used in gaseous media, e.g. to identify the shape, size and location of objects, to determine the spatial distribution of temperature in a studied area (if here is a heterogeneous field of that quantity) and to determine concentration of components of s...
متن کاملResearch on Ultrasonic Velocity Imaging of Metal Matrix Composites with TIRP Method
In order to evaluate the uniform of SiCp reinforced aluminum metal-matrix composites (MMC) fabricated by powder metallurgy, the ultrasonic velocity imaging was carried out with the method of thickness independent reflector plate (TIRP). Ultrasonic velocity in MMC can be used to calculate the stiffness constants and Yang’s modulus, which are influenced by the volume percentage of SiCp. The TIRP ...
متن کاملMapping of Materials Stress with Ultrasonic Tomography
It is _known _that internal stress concentrations can give rise to microcracks which then grow when the str~cture 1s subJected to external forces. It has also been found that the velocity'of sound is altered as ~t propagates through a region of stress. In this paper we discuss a technique called ComputerAsslsted Tomography (~AT) and describe ~n application that provides pictures of stress field...
متن کاملUltrasonic Refractive Index Tomography
Ultrasonic computed tomography (UCT) is one of the methods capable of tissue characterization. It is expected to provide not only a quantitative image but also diagnostic information. As in X-ray CT, UCT requires a projection data to reconstruct a cross-sectional image. In UCT such projection data are derived from the received broadband ultrasonic signal. In this paper, two methods for deriving...
