To evaluate the effects of Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) on wound healing of extraction socket: A systematic review

Background: Low power laser therapy or low-level (LLLT) is relatively novel and has demonstrated tremendous advantages in dentistry which includes reduction post-surgical pain as well swelling also accelerates wound healing helps bone regeneration etc. Objective: This systematic review aimed to find out whether promotes tooth extraction healing. Materials Methods: Literature was searched from January 2010 till 31 December 2020 using PubMed, Scopus, Web of science. Further findings were done gray literature google scholar, Research Gate Low-level therapy, photobiomodulation, healing, socket cold laser, biostimulation, irradiation, phototherapy. Any article that reported effects on included. 19 studies fulfilled the criteria included for this review. Quality assessment each Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) checklist analytical cross-sectional studies. Results Discussion: Throughout search, approximately 22,808 relevant articles found. Out 50 selection criteria. excluded because did not fulfill inclusion compared low level-laser after a tooth.
