چکیده
Abstract Improper disposal and accumulation of waste tire rubbers have posed a serious threat to the development circular economy, sustainable environment, human health. In light drawback current management tires, recycling transformation reclaimed rubber (RR) into valuable end products has received significant attention from industries academic field. Herein, we propose facile method reuse RR in developing closed-cell elastomeric foams based on ethylene propylene diene (EPDM). Rheometry results revealed that introduction up 20 phr, increased cure rate 11.7 13.48%/min, reduced curing time 12.21 9.3 min also ultimate torque 6.51 7.24 N.m. Morphological studies indicated cell density 12 78 cell/mm 3 number average size 940 110 µm. The mechanical could be feasible alternative for fabrication high-performance EPDM with improved hardness resilience. By increasing content EPDM/RR foams, relative increased, while decreased. 10 phr RR, resilience foam by 37 shore A 68%, respectively. research verified attempt use produce good structure was found successful. open way composites applied sealing gasket as an eco-friendly replacement virgin products. Highlights • Use tires secondary raw material Tire-derived rubber/EPDM support economy exhibit superior properties at low cost

Rubber friction and tire dynamics.
We propose a simple rubber friction law, which can be used, for example, in models of tire (and vehicle) dynamics. The friction law is tested by comparing numerical results to the full rubber friction theory (Persson 2006 J. Phys.: Condens. Matter 18 7789). Good agreement is found between the two theories. We describe a two-dimensional (2D) tire model which combines the rubber friction model wi...
متن کاملRubber Oxidation and Tire Aging - a Review
While a new tire may have excellent resistance to crack initiation and propagation between the steel belts, an aged tire of the exact same construction can exhibit dramatically reduced crack growth resistance, which in some cases may contribute to tire failure. This article will review the research that has gone into quantifying the rate of oxidation the steel belt rubber oxidizes in different ...
متن کاملZinc leaching from tire crumb rubber.
Because tires contain approximately 1-2% zinc by weight, zinc leaching is an environmental concern associated with civil engineering applications of tire crumb rubber. An assessment of zinc leaching data from 14 studies in the published literature indicates that increasing zinc leaching is associated with lower pH and longer leaching times, but the data display a wide range of zinc concentratio...
متن کاملHyperelastic Material Models of Rubber and Rubber-like Materials
ABSTRACT The variety of applications of rubber-like materials in different industrial areas is enormous. In the automotive industry rubber is utilized in tires, as engine and door seals, whereas in aerospace industry rubber rings are used in fuel systems. In other engineering fields, rubbers have been used in conveyor belts, meteorological balloons and vibration isolation bearings or shock and ...
