Tire and Engine Sources Contribution to Vehicle Interior Noise and Vibration Exposure Levels

The main objective of the research presented in this paper is to enhance driver-passengers comfort a vehicle that turn leads better safety and stability. focus was put on studying interior vibration noise contributions originated from tire-road engine-transmission subsystems, due their significant impact dynamic performance vehicle. measurements were recorded at driver’s head position driver legs room. Furthermore, influence different tire types road surface textures considered. results indicate widely used conventional engine mounts tires commercial vehicles cannot fulfill conflicting requirements for best isolation concerning both induced excitations. values sound pressure level floor acceleration broadband averages originate are lower than interaction.
