Tiotropium Bromide/Olodaterol Related Acute Cognitive Impairments

Background: The use of anticholinergics has been on the rise. With increase in population longevity, more medication-related cognitive impairments (ACIs) have reported. These result significant morbidities. We present a case that stresses importance being vigilant when prescribing anticholinergic medications, especially elderlies. Case Report: A ACIs related to tiotropium bromide/olodaterol (Stiolto Respimat) is reported 71-year-old white man with COPD. Treatment budesonide 180 mcg/actuation, and inhalers was initiated. Two days after initiating treatment, patient developed which manifested by gait imbalance, short-term memory dysfunction, inability remember his family members, or take medications. Tiotropium discontinued. After three days, full recovery month later, due worsening dyspnea, self-resumed medicine. Similar were within two resuming treatment. discontinued indefinitely. Full Conclusion: should be noted as side effect bromide/olodaterol. Clinicians vigilant, medications
