چکیده

TiO 2 nanowire arrays in situ grown on Ti foil (TiO /Ti) were prepared to remove uranium (VI) from aqueous solution. As the serves as a carrier for , /Ti adsorbent can be effortlessly retrieved solutions by tweezers after adsorption. The presence of was verified X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. Parameters adsorption process fully evaluated, including solution pH, contact time, temperature, concentration. most efficient pH range 5.0 9.0. maximum capacity /Ti, based Langmuir model, 354.5 mg g –1 at T = 323 K. Thermodynamic parameters showed that is endothermic spontaneous. remained essentially unchanged three adsorption–desorption cycles solutions. Our results support application this removal diversified samples.

Field emission from in situ-grown vertically aligned SnO2 nanowire arrays

Vertically aligned SnO2 nanowire arrays have been in situ fabricated on a silicon substrate via thermal evaporation method in the presence of a Pt catalyst. The field emission properties of the SnO2 nanowire arrays have been investigated. Low turn-on fields of 1.6 to 2.8 V/μm were obtained at anode-cathode separations of 100 to 200 μm. The current density fluctuation was lower than 5% during a ...

Highly ordered GaN-based nanowire arrays grown on patterned (100) silicon and their optical properties.

Arrays of GaN-based nanowires have been synthesized on patterned silicon without a catalyst. The spatial density, length and average radius of the nanowires can be well-controlled. The GaN core contains two semipolar facets and a controllable polar facet. The nanowire heterostructures exhibit excellent laser behavior.

Photovoltaic Properties of p-Doped GaAs Nanowire Arrays Grown on n-Type GaAs(111)B Substrate

We report on the molecular beam epitaxy growth of Au-assisted GaAs p-type-doped NW arrays on the n-type GaAs(111)B substrate and their photovoltaic properties. The samples are grown at different substrate temperature within the range from 520 to 580 °C. It is shown that the dependence of conversion efficiency on the substrate temperature has a maximum at the substrate temperature of 550 °C. For...

Hierarchically structured nanotubes for highly efficient dye-sensitized solar cells.

Hierarchical TiO2 nanotube arrays grown on Ti foil are yielded by subjecting electrochemically anodized, vertically oriented TiO2 nanotube arrays to hydrothermal processing. The resulting DSSCs exhibit a significantly enhanced power conversion efficiency of 7.24%, which is a direct consequence of the synergy of higher dye loading, superior light-scattering ability, and fast electron transport.

Patterned Growth of ZnO Nanowire Arrays on Zinc Foil by Thermal Oxidation

A simple approach is demonstrated for growing large scale, nearly vertically aligned ZnO nanowire arrays by thermal oxidation method. To reveal effect of temperature on growth and physical properties of the ZnO nanowires, gold coated zinc substrates were annealed at 300 °C and 400 °C for 4 hours duration in air. Xray diffraction patterns of annealed samples indicated a set of well defined diffr...
