Time dependence of heart rate variability during treadmill running

To investigate the time dependence of heart rate variability (HRV) during treadmill running, a feedback control loop was implemented to eliminate potentially confounding influence cardiovascular drift. Without drift, observed changes in HRV can be directly attributed only and not drift-related increases rate. quantify time-dependence HRV, standard metrics for two consecutive windows equal duration (12.5 min) were computed compared. Eight participants included. The outcome measures showed an overall tendency decrease over time. Seven 10 significantly lower (p<0.05); three moderate evidence time, viz. average power P∇u (p = 0.053), very-low frequency (VLF) RR-signal 0.072) low (LF) 0.12). Taken together, these results provide running; employment is important as drift eliminated. Further work required optimize experimental design use larger sample size improve statistical results.
