Thyroid Hormones and Autoantibodies in Iraqi Hyperthyroid Patients

چکیده
Hyperthyroidism can be defined as the status of over production thyroid hormones: tri-iodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4) a results gland dysfunction. The aim current study was to investigate association between abnormalities hormones (T3 T4) serum levels auto-antibodies: anti-thyroid peroxidase (TPO-Ab) stimulating hormone receptor (TR-Ab) state hyperthyroidism. Blood samples were collected from 75 Iraqi individualswere early diagnosed hyperthyroidism patients in addition 25 individuals healthy control group. Enzyme Linked Fluorescent Assay (ELFA) used determine level (TSH), Immuno-Sorbent (ELISA) auto-antibodies (TPO-Ab TR-Ab). show that T3 T4 (2.07 nmol/L 14.02 μg/dl respectively) increased significantly (푃<0.01)compared (1.33 6.4 respectively). While (TSH) patient (0.17 μIU/Ml) decreased (푃<0.01)when compared with healthycontrol group (1.84 μIU/Ml). also showed TPO-Ab TR-Ab (235.29 IU/mL 32.05 (20.76 0.3 This revealed there is an disorders positivity

Serum thyroid hormone concentrations were measured before and during 10 days' treatment with atenolol (200 mg/day), acebutolol (400 mg/day), oxprenolol (160 mg/day) and propranolol (160 mg/day) in 24 hyperthyroid patients. During propranolol treatment serum triiodothyronine (T3) concentrations fell significantly (P less than 0.05) but there was no change in thyroid hormone concentrations in the...

OBJECTIVE: Due to the increased prevalence of thyroid dysfunction in subjects with type 2 diabetes and also this fact that antibodies could potentially identify subjects at risk of thyroid dysfunction, this study was conducted to investigate thyroid autoimmunity in type 2 diabetic patients. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Among patients referred to Yazd Diabetes Research Center, 4000 type 2 diabetic pat...
متن کاملEvaluation of thyroid hormones in patients with lead poisoning
Background: Each toxic agent results in unique presentations, depending on what neurophysiological changes occur following exposure. Scientific understanding of lead toxicity in the organ systems and at low levels of exposure continues to evolve. However, effects of lead poisoning on the thyroid gland function are controversial. In this descriptive study, changes in thyroid hormones in patients...

Our objective was to evaluate thyroid nodule malignancy prediction using thyroid function tests, autoantibodies, ultrasonographic imaging, and clinical data. We conducted a retrospective cohort study in 1400 patients with nodular thyroid disease (NTD). The thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) concentration was significantly higher in patients with differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) versus benign ...

Mild anaemia among patients with hyperthyroidism, reduction in intracranial zinc content of erythrocytes and anti- haemolysis of whole blood of patients with Graves, disease under laboratory Condition are the facts which indicate that although erythrocytes are devoid of receptors for thyroid hormones, they are affected by the excess of these hormones. In order to find out the reasons for suc...
