Thymoquinone: A Tie-Breaker in SARS-CoV2-Infected Cancer Patients?

چکیده
Since the beginning of SARS-CoV-2(severe acute respiratory syndrome-coronavirus-2) pandemic, a race to develop vaccine has been initiated, considering massive and rather significant economic healthcare hits that this virus caused. The pathophysiology occurring following COVID-19(coronavirus disease-2019) infection given hints regarding supportive symptomatic treatments establish for patients, as no specific anti-SARS-CoV-2 is available yet. Patient symptoms vary greatly range from mild severe fatal complications. Supportive include antipyretics, antiviral therapies, different combinations broad-spectrum antibiotics, hydroxychloroquine plasma transfusion. Unfortunately, cancer patients are at higher risk viral more likely serious complications due their immunocompromised state, fact they already administering multiple medications, well combined comorbidity compared general population. It may seem impossible find drug possesses both potent anticancer effects specifically against COVID-19 its existing malignancy, respectively. Thymoquinone (TQ) most pharmacologically active ingredient in Nigella sativa seeds (black seeds); it reported have anticancer, anti-inflammatory antioxidant various settings. In review, we will discuss TQ COVID-19, beneficial multiple-organ complications, use an adjuvant therapy therapy, finally, effects.

متن کاملIntroducing a New SYBR green Real-time PCR for Detection of SARS-CoV2 Virus Genome
Background and purpose: There are various methods for molecular detection of SARS-CoV2 genome among which, PCR-based methods are the most reliable for making diagnosis. The majority of approved PCR kits for detection of Coronavirus are based on TaqMan real-time PCR which is expensive due to incorporating fluorescent and quencher-harboring probe. The aim of this study was to design a simple and ...
متن کاملTie-breaker: A New Perspective of Ranking and Evaluation for Microblog Retrieval
Microblog retrieval is the key tool that enables users to access the relevant information from the enormous tweets posted on social media. Due to the differences of the tweets and traditional documents, existing IR models might not be the optimal choice for this problem. In this paper, we aim to introduce a new idea, i.e., tie-breaking, and discuss its implication in ranking methods and evaluat...
