“Thrikkaṇamathilakam” as a Jain Centre

Mathilakam played an important role in the development of Jain tradition Kerala. It is considered Saṅgam period, Thrikkaṇamathilakam was a famous centre during Chēra dynasty rule. There popular opinion that as ancient Kuṇavayiṛ kõttam, or Thirukkuṇāvai, place where Iḷaṃgo Aḍigaḷ composed his epic Cilppadikāram. This paper attempt to shed fresh light on unexplored corners history centre. are various inscriptions mentioned about Thrikkaṇamathilakam, Thirukkuṇāvai. inscriptional analysis can be termed landmark Jainism Fragmentary from Mathilakam, which have been read with help epigraphist, marked original contribution this study.
