Two New Triterpenoids from the Roots of Codonopsis pilosula.
Pseudolarolides U and V, two new triterpenoids, and four biogenetically related compounds, pseudolarolides E, F, K, and P were isolated from the roots of Codonopsis pilosula (Campanulaceae). Their structures were determined by spectroscopic data. The regulation of Sirtuin 1 (SIRT1) activity by all the isolated compounds was evaluated.
متن کاملAcetylenes and fatty acids from Codonopsis pilosula
Four new acetylenes (1-4) and one new unsaturated ω-hydroxy fatty acid (5), together with 5 known analogues, were isolated from an aqueous extract of Codonopsis pilosula roots. Their structures were determined by spectroscopic and chemical methods. The new acetylenes are categorized as an unusual cyclotetradecatrienynone (1), tetradecenynetriol (2), and rare octenynoic acids (3 and 4), respecti...
متن کاملSesquiterpene glycosides from the roots of Codonopsis pilosula
Three new sesquiterpene glycosides, named codonopsesquilosides A-C (1-3), were isolated from an aqueous extract of the dried roots of Codonopsis pilosula. Their structures including absolute configurations were determined by spectroscopic and chemical methods. These glycosides are categorized as C15 carotenoid (1), gymnomitrane (2), and eudesmane (3) types of sesquiterpenoids, respectively. Com...
متن کاملTwo new pyrrolidine alkaloids, codonopsinol C and codonopiloside A, isolated from Codonopsis pilosula.
A new pyrrolidine alkaloid codonopsinol C (1), and pyrrolidine alkaloidal glycoside, codonopiloside A (2), were isolated from the roots of Codonopsis pilosula, along with four known pyrrolidine alkaloids, codonopsinol A (3), codonopsinol B (4), codonopyrrolidium B (5), and radicamine A (6). The structures of the new compounds were established by acid hydrolysis and spectroscopic methods. We des...
متن کاملAnticancer activities of polyynes from the root bark of Oplopanax horridus and their acetylated derivatives.
Six polyynes OH-1~6, some of which are occur naturally in acetylated form, had been isolated and identified from the root bark of Oplopanax horridus (Devil's Club), a natural dietary supplement and medicinal plant in North America. During the evaluation of the polyynes' potential anticancer activities, sixteen more acetylated derivatives OHR-1~16 have synthesized and their anti-proliferation ac...
