چکیده
Three-dimensional transfer functions (3D TFs) are generally assumed to fully describe the behavior of optical topography measuring instruments such as coherence scanning interferometers in spatial frequency domain. Therefore, 3D TFs supposed be independent surface under investigation resulting a clear separation properties and characteristics. In this paper, we show that TF an interference microscope differs depending on whether object is specularly reflecting or consists point scatterers. addition scatterer, will derive analytical expression for corresponding specular surfaces demonstrate being most relevant practical applications interferometry (CSI). We additionally study effects temporal disclose conventional CSI dominate. However, narrowband light sources advantageous if high components weak phase objects resolved, whereas, low-frequency higher amplitude, less affecting. Finally, present approach explains different characteristics peak detection signal analysis.

Optical transfer functions of 4Pi confocal microscopes: theory and experiment.
We measure the point-spread function in the two main configurations of 4Pi confocal microscopy as well as in the traditional confocal arrangement and derive the optical transfer functions from the experimental data. The optical transfer functions are in good agreement with their theoretical counterparts. We find a 3.5- to 5-fold increased axial bandwidth of the 4Pi confocal microscope and hence...
متن کاملHeat Transfer in Three-Dimensional Flow along a Porous Plate
An analysis of heat transfer in the flow of a viscous, in-compressible fluid along an infinite porous plate is presented when the plate is subjected to a transverse sinusoidal suction. The flow field becomes three-dimensional due to this type of suction velocity. Expressions for the flow and temperature fields are obtained by series expansion method. It is found during the course of discussion ...
متن کاملComparison of vocal tract transfer functions calculated using one-dimensional and three-dimensional acoustic simulation methods
Acoustic characteristics of the vocal tract have been investigated extensively in the literature using a onedimensional (1D) acoustic simulation method. Because the 1D method assumes plane wave propagation only, it is recognized to be valid only in the low frequency region (below about 4 or 5 kHz). Recently, a three-dimensional (3D) acoustic simulation method was developed, to obtain more preci...
متن کاملON MAXWELL'S STRESS FUNCTIONS FOR SOLVING THREE DIMENSIONAL ELASTICITY PROBLEMS IN THE THEORY OF ELASTICITY
The governing equations of three dimensional elasticity problems include the six Beltrami-Michell stress compatibility equations, the three differential equations of equilibrium, and the six material constitutive relations; and these are usually solved subject to the boundary conditions. The system of fifteen differential equations is usually difficult to solve, and simplified methods are usual...
متن کاملMHD Three-Dimensional Stagnation-Point Flow and Heat Transfer of a Nanofluid over a Stretching Sheet
In this study, the three-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) boundary layer of stagnation-point flow in a nanofluid was investigated. The Navier–Stokes equations were reduced to a set of nonlinear ordinary differential equations using a similarity transform. The similarity equations were solved for three types of nanoparticles: copper, alumina and titania with water as the base fluid, to inve...
