Past research on moral dilemmas has thoroughly investigated the roles of personality and situational variables, but role targets in been relatively neglected. This article presents findings from four experiments that manipulated perceived dehumanization dilemmas. Findings Studies 1, 2, 4 suggest dehumanized may render decision easier, with less emotion. 1 3, though not 2 4, showed lead participants to make deontological judgments.
